建築物はエネルギーの塊です。ものは燃えることで熱や光、煙を出しますが、これは燃焼エネルギーを持っているからです。建物が火事になると巨大なエネルギーが放出されます。
それからもう一点、位置エネルギーです。地面に置いてある一枚の瓦が屋根に載せられれば、それだけでエネルギーを持つことになります。ものは落下すると位置エネルギーが運動エネルギーに変化するので、より高い位置にある物体はより多くのエネルギーを持つことになりますね。屋根に載せられた瓦は地面にあればゼロのはずの位置エネルギーをもって存在しているわけですね。
このような観点から見ると、建築物はエネルギーの塊だということがイメージできるでしょう。
a big mass of energy
A building is a big mass of energy. Because in the aspect of chemical theory, substance have energy for burning and give a fire and heat. And in the aspect of physics when substance is held up and kept its position, it has potential energy which can be changed into moving action. So every building element above the ground have potential energy. Despite of still appearance a building actually has a huge energy within it. You can confirm this fact in the time of fire, earthquake or war.
