「大自然」は建築の外部に想定した非対称の観念です。人間がコントロールできないものです。一見矛盾しますが、テクノロジーが「大自然」を生み出すことがないでしょうか。テクノロジーは建築の主要な要素ですから、「大自然」を生むとなれば、建築は内側に無限の広がりを抱え込むことになります。しかし、これは考えられないことではありません。
例えば、そうしたテクノロジーは幾つかの分野の最先端で見つかるでしょう。1つは核技術。これを戦争の武器として使用すればどうなるかは、我々の想像力を超えています。世界の数カ国は核兵器を所有し、それを100％使わない保証は全くありません。つまり地球に住む人類が核技術をコントロールできない状態にあるわけですね。もう1つは遺伝子操作技術。野菜や家畜にこれを利用して、多くの人々がそれを食べていますが、その人体への影響はどうなのでしょうか。またクローン人間をつくることが可能になりました。こうした人類が有史以来経験したことのない事態は、テクノロジーが「大自然」を生み出したと考えられないでしょうか。

Why not thinking of the question what will happen in a city by means of usage of the strongest technology. Or how can we change the stubborn notion 'city' with external force. We believe the stereotyped city model. Like an ancient Greek police, an enclosed town gave the world view. It told what the world was and how the world was. Police was the universe. There is none outside a police. Simple. But now we know the fact current sities have got to be monsters. The reason might sit in the story of progress of technology.
Scary image of mushroom cloud by nuclear explosion can give us an inspiration about relationship between high technology and city. What is that? The strongest power tends to have an asymmetric character. There should be something in another place. It's possible to imagine uncertain concept beyond the notion of 'city' and stereotyped model in terms of high technology.
